The installation "Unattainable Connections" illustrates the significance of third places in nurturing community engagement while shedding light on the barriers hindering people's access to them. Through its enclosed structure, it metaphorically reflects the isolation and exclusion individuals face in accessing such spaces. Elements like wire and informational signs further reinforce this theme by symbolizing physical and socio-economic boundaries. The installation's abstract design, composed of wood boxes and metal circles, emphasizes the importance of accessible spaces for social interaction and human connection. Intertwined strings within the boxes symbolize the intricate relationships vital for community flourishing, while greenery signifies resilience amidst adversity. "Unattainable Connections" urges society to reclaim the essence of third spaces and uphold the value of social connection.
